Paint the Town 2014, Chestertown MD

I was very happy to be able to participate for a second time in Chestertown's wonderful Paint the Town plein air competition.  Chestertown itself is one of my favorite places on the Eastern shore and is always worth a visit but what really makes it a great event is the quality of the artist that it attracts.  It's a pleasure to spend time with so many dedicated, talented and encouraging folks who serve as inspiration to always keep learning and improving.  I'm looking forward to next year already.

Below are the other two paintings I completed while there.  I had to take the pictures in less than ideal circumstances so the glare makes them a little hard to view.  These events are pretty exhausting so things like getting good pictures of one's work sometimes fall through the cracks.  Morning on Mill Street and Rock Hall Work Boats will be on display at the RiverArts Gallery through May 11.

A First Friday opening for the Second Look exhibition at RiverArts Gallery will be held Friday, May 2 from 5-8 p.m. in conjunction with an Electric Dreams show, open to members and non-members of the gallery.
